Character
Sphinxes have a unique character. Total and complete absence of "a good memory for bad things" and infantilism which are so typical to many other pets.
Of course every cat has her own individuality. No one is like another. But intelligence, good behavior, curiosity and almost dog devotion to their owner are typical to all sphinxes. Also a lack of aggressiveness is likely to most sphinxes.
A 7 months old human baby may torture a cat to halfdeath, but will not sustain a scratch.
My cats Agnessa and Milsida are not happy with taking baths, nail clipping and ear cleaning procedures, but they trust me completely and understand, that everything I do is done for a reason. And although they mutter some words in my address under their wet noses never ever they attempt to bite, scratch or try to escape.
You'll never meet a healthy sphinx hiding in a dark corner. They run to complete strangers for hugging, kissing and socializing.
I can write 25 pages of how fascinating, exciting and great those cats are, but instead I'll quote every sphinx owner mantra- "Happiness is- when you have one more sphinx more ." It's a drug. Very addictive. Not dangerous to your health.
They are not troublemakers and they give you so much more than they take, that you naturally want more of this happiness at home. And more. And more…
They love to play, and due to their sharp mind are easily trained and taught.
Sphinxes need to communicate. They have a doggish necessity in humans. Follow them around the house like shadows, bring toys back for you to throw it again, give you a paw to shake and sleep by your side in a cold winter night (in a hot summer night they do the same…). they stare right into your eyes, and understand us much better than we understand them.
Of course, sphinx is an exotic decoration to any home, but foremost- it's a friend. the one that understands precisely your mood, condition and state of mind. He'll do everything in his paws to help you and make you happy. It's the most devoted friend, and he is totally not "on his own". He is with you.
